Wagati Elsah of Sweetspots, "Elsa"

Update on our F1 Elsa (serval X Bengal).

In the winter of 2006, while she was housed and being bred to our savannah stud Orion, Elsa developed a uterine infection or ‘pyometra’. It snuck up on us, and presented no symptoms until she was actually feeling sick from the infection, so we went ahead and spayed her rather than risk her life by only treating it with drugs (which is possible if you catch it early).

Now she lives with her F2 son and daughter as a pet, and spends most of her day relaxing in the sun in their outdoor enclosure. Still a sweet and completely loving girl, we treasure her companionship and will provide a loving home for her for the rest of her days. She gave us two beautiful litters of kittens, including our F2 girls Celeste, Isabelle and Zahra. We are so sad that there won’t be any more Elsa-kittens, but so glad that Elsa is happy and healthy and with us today.
